Apparently it's not just illegal music files that get exchanged over peer-2-peer (P2P) file-sharing services; some paedophiles also use it to trade pictures:
The UK police are aware of the problem. But it has been very difficult to judge the scale of the problem or to intervene because files are shared between user's computers with central server.
"We are aware that paedophilic image are being traded in this way but it is difficult to say what the scale of the problem is. It expands and contracts on a daily basis," said a spokeswoman for the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit.
"It is difficult to track and trace because of the sheer sizes of the networks," she added. No doubt this latest news will give more weight to the anti-file-sharing camp. More @
