UK ISP MetroNet has kindly informed us that the pricing for their new pay-as-you-go (payg) broadband ADSL service has officially been finalised and can be seen by looking down the page -
HERE:
The one-off activation fee on all self install packages has been reduced for subscriptions made by 28 March from £55+vat (£64.63 inc. vat) to just £50+vat (£58.75 inc. vat)
We have lowered the minimum usage requirements across all accounts and have also cut the cost per MB beyond minimum usage from 0.39p/MB+vat (0.46p/MB inc. vat) to 0.25p/MB (0.29p/MB inc. vat - that's just a third of a penny). This makes the usage band even wider so that you may not hit the cost cap and thus pay even less for Broadband!
So, for example, on our PayGo500 package you now need to have an average daily usage of less than 5MB a day to make PAYGoDSL worthwhile. You might use up 5MB a day just sending and receiving a few emails and surfing your favourite websites!
We have extended the pre-registration period to Fri 21 March but remember that you will only have till Fri 28 March to take advantage of the reduced activation/installation fees.
