Telewests broadband cable modem offering ISP wing, Blueyonder, has managed to achieve a total subscriber base of nearly 300,000 (297,000) subscribers!

The news was included in the operators ‘Full Year 2002 Results’ document, which can be viewed in .pdf (Acrobat) format at the link above. The results give them an approximate market share of 80% in their own cable areas.

Internet and other revenues increased by 98% during 2002, this has been largely attributed to the groups broadband subscriber growth.

Telewest notes that 10% (27,000) of its broadband customers have taken up its 1Mbps service, which has grown to 31,000 during early 2003.

The operators total dialup and broadband Internet access user’s amount to 540,000 subscribers. 19% of Telewests broadband subscribers have migrated from its unmetered dialup (SurfUnlimited) platform.
