EU Discusses Rural Broadband Funds

Ministers of the European Union will meet this week to discuss the issue of rural broadband and 3G wireless funding:
The commission has said that it is now acceptable for member states to use EU regional aid, or structural funds to build networks in these areas.
The EU has E213bn in structural funds for the 2003 to 2006 period.
Sadly there's no mention of how much has been set aside for the UK, if anything. More @ Europemedia.
