Rumour has it that the UKs largest cable operator, NTL, may soon increase the price on some of its broadband and television services:
According to our information, the price of 128kbps broadband access will rise from May 1st to £17.99 per month, with customers being informed of the changes in a letter during April.
Our sources also indicate that price rises on some television services are being looked at, although no figures are available at the current time. The
DigitalSpy item stresses that nothing's official, yet any rise on NTLs broadband service would be treated as highly insensitive given the recent 1Gb per day usage cap.
In the meantime it's also being reported that NTL has appointed the former BP/Amoco VP, Scott Schubert, as its new CFO.
