Tesco.net Cuts Unmetered Dialup Price
By: MarkJ - 19 August, 2003 (1:05 PM)

Following Oftels recent decision to force BT into dropping the charges for wholesale (FRIACO) Internet access, UK ISP Tesco.net has cut the price of its unmetered dialup by 50p to 12.49 per month:

CEO Andy Dewhurst said: "It is only right that Oftel's actions should result in cheaper prices for internet users."

Unfortunately many other providers may well consume the savings without passing anything on to end-users, that's if their suppliers bother to pass the comparatively large discount on in the first place.
