BT Indirect Channels (BTIC) has recruited 500 extra networking resellers to help it target small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) with broadband Internet access:
The additional resellers will join BTIC's existing 3,000 partners with the ability to sell broadband services on top of IT installations. Around 71 per cent of the country is potentially covered by broadband.
BTIC director Mark Hollister explained that the company chose 300 probable resellers from a list of 1,500. It is still going through the process of identifying a further 200 to meet its ambitious target.
"Resellers have an important role in driving demand for broadband among SMEs," he said. "We are particularly looking to sign networking integrators in the local and wide area network spaces."More @
