Much like local wireless providers, UK broadband satellite offering ISPs have been springing up all over the place. Today one of our readers, Eric, pointed out another reasonably new entrant -
CentralPOINT Satellite Broadband (CPS).
The service itself is another reseller for the Plenexis Skybooster based system, which is currently sold by SCSBroadband, Norfolk Satellite, DSL-SAT, Smilebroadband and Silvermead.
However CPS has managed to offer lower prices, thus where a typical one-way 256Kbps option is normally priced @ £20 to £25 per month, CPS charges just £16.50. Equally its 2Mbps package is £49.99, which is £10 less than its nearest rival Silvermead.
Typically there are data limits, thus the cheapest 256Kbps package has a 'Data Volume Priority Limit1' of 300mb and Limit2 of 3Gig. The information may be somewhat confusing for those not familiar with the technology.
