BT Safe From Forced ADSL Price Cuts

Posted: 04th Nov, 2003 By: MarkJ
Leaked word from Oftels latest review of broadband regulation (due next month) has stated that BT Group will not be forced to make further cuts to wholesale ADSL charges.

Oftel was concerned that another cut in prices, which BT's competitors want, could discourage BT from investing in new technology. BT cut its broadband prices in September for the second time this year following complaints from rivals such as Energis.

No doubt some of the operator’s rivals will have a few choice words to say on this matter.
