UK business ISP altoHiway has announced the appointment of Chris Wood to be its new director of sales and marketing:
UK BUSINESS ISP APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING
Chris Wood has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at altoHiway, the UK-based service provider that focuses exclusively on business customers via direct sales and through the channel. His appointment follows altoHiways recent announcement concerning the £1m investment that the company has made to its network infrastructure and new datacentre.
Chris will be responsible for building the companys profile, reinforcing its position as one of the few service providers offering solutions exclusively to business customers, and for maintaining the companys year on year growth performance. He will also identify new areas of business opportunity for both the channel and enterprise sales teams.
Richard Sharpe, managing director at altoHiway, comments: The Internet market is maturing fast and we recognise that innovation and change will be key characteristics of the surviving and successful players. With his extensive experience in both business development and in working with the channel, the arrival of Chris to the team is vital as we progress to become a major player in the UK market.
Chris joins altoHiway from the Internet services market, where he worked with the server appliance vendor Equiinet as their UK and Ireland channel manager. Chris also worked with the managed services vendor intY, where he held the position as head of business development. Prior to this, Chris spent nine years in the CAD industry.
Commenting on his new position, Chris stated: I am delighted to be working with altoHiway. The company is held in the highest regard by its customers and resellers and is one of the best-kept secrets in the industry. I look forward to helping the company realise its potential to be one of the leading business-only ISPs in the UK market.
