Telewest Broadband relaunches blueyonder website
Telewest Broadband is today relaunching blueyonder.co.uk">http://www.blueyonder.co.uk and merging its dial-up and broadband websites.
The company's extensive research found that surfer's needs are changing. Services are now just as important to consumers as content, with web users not always wanting content generated by their ISP.
The new site has been developed to offer all blueyonder customers, whether dial-up or broadband, the tools and applications to discover the world wide web for themselves.
Blueyonder.co.uk will also be the first website in the UK to host film and music streaming at speeds of up to 2Mb per second - showcasing the blistering capability of the fastest blueyonder broadband internet service.
Chad Raube, director of internet services at Telewest Broadband, said: "Our customers are more savvy and no longer need their ISP to nanny them when viewing content. We've listened to our customers and designed the site to let them get what they want, not what they're given.
Whether they're a digital photo fanatic or enjoy blasting their mates online gaming, there is something to meet everyone's needs, enabling them to go off and explore the blueyonder."
Tailored to suit consumer's internet habits, the site has four zones - searching, surfing, services and showcasing broadband - with applications like online photo albums and news content provided by partners Photobox and the BBC. Online guides called blutorials - focussing on topics including music, digital photography and safe surfing - will help customers get the most from the internet.
