Freedom2Surf, (www.freedom2surf.net) the UK's leading independent ISP, has today announced that it is reducing the cost of its award winning 1mb ADSL Power User service to only £29.99 exc. VAT per month, a reduction of 25 per cent.

The updated pricing will take effect from 6 October 2003 and new customers can pre-register for the service now by visiting www.freedom2surf.net. The first 500 customers to register for the service are also being offered a 50 per cent discount on the regular activation fee of £59.99 exc. VAT.

Freedom2Surf is one of the first ISPs to take advantage of BT Wholesale's new 1mb consumer ADSL package, IPStream Home1000. Freedom2Surf Power User is available for broadband users who want even greater speed from their Internet connection for activities such as downloading music and video files and online gaming. The Power User package is available at a 50:1 contention ratio, and includes 20mb of web space, 5mb of database space and 20 email addresses. The service will be available nationwide to customers living near an ADSL enabled exchange.

Chris Panayis, Managing Director of Freedom2Surf commented: "Since Power User's launch in March 2003, the 1mb ADSL service has proved to be very popular in meeting the growing need from our customers for faster Internet connectivity. Our Power User service is twice as fast as broadband connections offered by certain well known ISPs, yet costs only a few pounds a month more.

Freedom2Surf is committed to lowering the price of ADSL services to a sustainable and more affordable level for our customers. That is why we have moved quickly to take advantage of this new package from BT Wholesale, to make ultra-fast ADSL even more affordable,
" Chris continues.

Freedom2Surf is also offering customers new and improved ADSL hardware, and have partnered with US Robotics to provide the USR 9003 modem. The new Ethernet and USB based modem will make installing ADSL even simpler for customers, as Freedom2Surf will have the ability to pre-configure the hardware to match a customers computer set-up prior to dispatch. The new modem has the added advantage of being X-Box Online gaming compatible. Power User customers have the option to purchase all the necessary ADSL equipment including the modem from Freedom2Surf for just £69.99 exc. VAT.
