Via.Networks UK has reported that the number of virus (worm) infected e-mails being sent to SME's decreased by 50% between September and October 2003 after peaking in August:
The company reported a steady decrease in volumes of infected e-mails since the August peak when Via found one in 30 e-mails suspected to be carrying a virus. The proportion of infected e-mails currently stands at one in 106 in October.Sadly this is no cause for celebration; online infections dont follow a steady month-to-month pattern. It can take a full year to gage the changes properly. More @
