Telewests 610,000 ISP Customers

Telewests ISP wing, blueyonder, has sent us a summary of Internet access statistics from their third quarter results. It shows that the provider has managed to subscribe 389,000 broadband customers:
* As at 5 November 2003, we had 389,000 blueyonder broadband customers (of 512kbp/s and above)
* 32,000 of those customers take our 1Mb blueyonder service and 7,000 have now upgraded to 2Mb access
* 70% of our broadband internet customers take all three Telewest Broadband services (broadband internet, digital TV and phone line) and 94% subscribe to two of those services
* We now have over 610,000 blueyonder internet customers in total
* Highlights so far this year include the launch of 2Mb blueyonder broadband, a self-installation pack for £12.50, Britain's first wireless self-installation pack, the relaunch of blueyonder.co.uk and online safety work with Childnet International
