On Friday our ISP complaints page was given its weekly update, along with this the UK ISP
Activeware was included into the list for the first time in some while.
Activeware has kindly responded to the complaints of connection problems and slow speeds:
The Activeware Problems are now resolved. We have had issues in the past few weeks, mostly at Telehouse, but things are back up and running.
We offer a variety of access numbers, and if customers have difficulty then they have a choice. One of our numbers always works, so users do have flexible options. These numbers are:
08089909016
08089909017
1869800800698
Our service is not congested and running fine. If users experience engaged tones on the 0808 numbers then it means service is not available in their area and they should use the 1869 number. Many don't realize this and then complain to yourselves about us, but if they would just call in to Technical Support or emailed us ( http://isp.custhelp.com ) then we would explain this.
We have had no reports of difficulties with our email servers, and they have not been down for over 4 weeks (last reboot). Customers again should contact us if they have difficulties sending, most of the time it is because they are using the wrong username or password or trying to send email through activeware when connected to another isp (doh!).
Just to explain the situation. We care about our customers, and their problems, and are unhappy to see this complaint on ISPr.While the ISP only received the bare minimum number of complaints required to enter the list in the first place, it's good to see such a rapid response.
