Sky (SkyDigital etc.) has expanded its commercial broadband content to include comedy, film shorts and movie trailers:
Sky has combined its news and sports broadband sites with a new entertainment site to create a service called Sky Scape. The entertainment section includes comedy clips from Paramount, short films from independent British directors and trailers from MyMovies.com.
Access to Sky Scape costs non-Sky subscribers £5 per month or £40 a year, while Sky subscribers pay £4 per month or £30 per year. A free trial is available.
Neil Martin, business development director at Sky said: "It's our intention to become the premium broadband content provider in the UK." He cited the BBC, RealOne, Channel 4 and football clubs as the main rivals.More @
