Vivaciti Broadband has announced the introduction of two new up to 8Mbps (ADSL MAX) services, which includes a HOME package for £20.70 inc. VAT per month that offers an impressive 75GigaByte (GB) monthly usage allowance. The provider will also soon begin offering a new range of line rental services, which can be bundled, and has plans for cheaper up to 24Mbps (ADSL2+) unbundled broadband solutions too.
New OptionsADSL MAX (Home) 75Gb FUP £18.00 + VAT (£20.70 inc VAT)
ADSL MAX Premium (Office) 75Gb FUP £30.00 + VATNow with the packages above we can also do you a one bill, so can include your phone in that as well (over WLR and not unbundled) including your call charges. The one bill should be ready by the end of next week, so far it is looking like the line rental will be £11.50 per month +VAT with no 12 month contract on the phone line, although we are still trying to negotiate the price down a bit more.
Now the down side, as with most of our products there will still be monthly contracts, but with the new packages there will be a caveat in the contract that if you leave with the first 6 months you will have to pay back the £11.00 migration fee. Now we are still trying to work this out so it may be a percentage, so if you leave after 3 months then there will only be £5.50 to pay etc.
Some of the new services are different from Vivaciti's existing Entanet based packages, though they claim to not be severing their contracts with Enta. Instead the new options have been designed to offer extra choice as opposed to being replacements; time will tell whether that relationship holds up.
Vivaciti will be contacting customers over the new few days with information on these new products, and to let them know how to sign up if they wish.
UPDATE 31st March 2009 @ 13:25pm :The new unbundled package, offering unlimited downloads at up to 24Mbps for £23 per month, is now showing on the ISPs website:
