UK ISP O2 ( Be Broadband ) has released its latest quarterly results to the end of March 2009 (Q1), highlighting a continuation of its rapid broadband subscriber uptake by going from 340,866 in Q4-2008 to 404,484 now. However the growth of around +63,618 new broadband users represents a rough 10k per quarter slowdown on past results.
Despite the slowdown, O2 is clearly continuing to add a proportionally significant number of new broadband subscribers each quarter. This is in no small part thanks to the strong reputation it has gain for running low-cost high performance services via the use of Be Broadband and its unbundled (LLU) up to 24Mbps ADSL2+ network.
