Broadband.co.uk has released its latest anecdotal monthly broadband speed testing results for June 2009. It shows that the average UK broadband download speed has increased once again to 4.340Mbps, which is up from 4.248Mbps in May. The average upload speed stood almost completely unchanged at 0.433Mbps.
Meanwhile Virgin Media retains its crown as the fastest broadband ISP for downloads, extending its lead from 5.874Mbps in May to 6.135Mbps in June. By comparison O2 ( Be Broadband ) held second place but dropped slightly for the second month running from 5.778Mbps to 5.632Mbps over the same period:

Happily O2 ( Be Broadband ) remains the fastest UK ISP for upload performance on a largely unchanged result of 0.748Mbps. We wouldn't be at all surprised to see Sky Broadband improve is download performance over the coming months; they recently increased their service speeds across several packages.
