The governments
Office of Fair Trading (OFT) managed consumer advice service,
Consumer Direct, took more than 414,000 consumer complaints in the six month period to the end of June 2009, down 3% on the same period last year. The results showed a notable decline in complaints about UK broadband ISPs.
Broadband ISPs received a total of 6,256 complaints, which is a reduction of -16.18% compared with the same time last year. The decline has meant that ISP complaints now place 10th in Consumer Direct's Top 10 list, which is down from their previous position of 7th.
