The Carphone Warehouse ISP TalkTalk has launched its
Digital Heroes Awards, which aims to reward those doing outstanding work using digital technology to improve the lives of people in their communities. The new awards are actually a revamped version of the providers previous
Innovation in the Community Awards, albeit with a few changes.
The biggest change is to the format, with fewer but bigger prizes. This year there will be 12 winners – one from each region of the UK. Eleven of them will win £5,000 and one overall winner will receive £10,000. Also new this year is the fact that members of the public will get the chance to vote for three shortlisted heroes from each region (via the
Digital Heroes website).
