New research from comparison site
Moneysupermarket has revealed that almost two-thirds (61%) are happy with their existing broadband bundle, which is despite 78% agreeing that they are probably not on the best deal they could be and 11% saying they simply can't be bothered to switch and save.
Opinium Research carried out the online poll of 2,010 UK adults between 19th May and 21st May 2009, results have been weighted to nationally representative criteria. The study claims that bundling services could lead to huge savings of up to £320 per year, depending on which packages people use; though this is highly subjective.
It's certainly true that there is always money to be saved, but as usual such studies do not always consider the correct way to weight value. Service quality, customer support effectiveness, usage allowances, connection fees and included extras/routers are far harder to quantify but just as relevant. Paying less doesn’t always get you more.
