Cable giant Virgin Media UK has apologised after customers around the country were hit by a "
loss of their Email service" that began on Monday of this week and has only just been resolved today. The operator has not revealed what caused the prolonged problems and recently posted a very sparse service status update.

Our engineers have advised us that services are now restored and all users should now have access to their email services.
The route cause of the issue is still under investigation by our engineers.
