The price of
Vivaciti's broadband '
LLU Unlimited' package, which offers download speeds of up to 24Mbps (1Mbps upload) and “
unlimited” access, will soon be cut from £21.85 inc. VAT per month to just £19.99. The change will come into force from 1st November, though it is not the only change the UK ISP has planned.
A Vivaciti spokesperson said:
"We are also making a change to our migration and new connection charges bringing these to £24.00.
We are also making a change to our contract period for these products, at present if you leave within the first 6 months of service on a migration then you are liable for the deferred migration fee to be paid (currently £23.00). This is going to be changed to a contract period of 6 months with the ability to buy out of the remainder of the contract carrying a £25.00 charge (this change to contract period will not be applicable to existing connections, but only new connections and migrations)."
The provider states that its changes have been designed to help both new and existing customers during a "
difficult economic climate." Customers who currently pay by PayPal or credit/debit card will need to contact the ISP so it can re-set up the change. Direct Debit users do not need to do anything.
