Satellite ISP Tariam UK has cut the monthly cost of its Eutelsat Tooway based Homenet product, which offers download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps and uploads of up to 0.38Mbps; prices now start at £35 inc. VAT per month. The one-off installation and hardware setup fee has also been reduced to £717.00.

The recent improvements seen in satellite broadband are promising, though for most people the prices, high latency and small usage allowances remain difficult stumbling blocks.
