ISP SmithMedia Launches Unlimited BT Based UK Broadband Package

Posted: 16th Apr, 2010 By: MarkJ
smithmediaThe Smith Media Group has today announced a new BT based "unlimited" broadband package for £44.99 per month. The move follows an agreement with supplier O-bit to resell the unlimited product on BT's 21CN network, giving speeds of up to 24Mbps ( ADSL2+ ).

SmithMedia's Boss, Clive Smith, said:

"This new unlimited ADSL2+ package gives those who cannot get LLU based broadband the chance to see the same benefit over the BT network. Although the monthly cost of £44.99 is a little higher than our LLU based service, we hope customers will take advantage of the totally unmetered service and unrestricted p2p, without the additional usage charges they have seen in the past from other providers."

Indeed £44.99 per month is perhaps somewhat more than a "little higher" in cost; their Unlimited LLU product is less than half the price at £19.99 per month. Smith also informed us that his ISP has dropped all migration and setup charges for all unlimited LLU products until the end of May 2010.
