Popular internet provider Be Broadband has chosen not to launch an O2 based and 'BE' branded Mobile Broadband package/bundle alongside its fixed line services. The decision is based upon feedback received through one of BE's recent member surveys, which was designed to gauge interest in the idea.
BE Blog Statement
"Well, we still want to give you something nice, so we’ll keep working with O2 to see if there’s any way we can ‘leverage’ (to use some management-speak) that relationship to your benefit. But we’re not going to launch a BE branded Mobile BB solution. You see, it isn’t really our thing (yet) and we don’t think we could do it justice while maintaining our focus on broadband."
However BE does not completely rule out a future Mobile Broadband product, instead saying "
the comments show that probably a PAYG offer would be more relevant, if we can swing it". In the meantime they'll probably have enough on their plate with preparing to introduce a Home Phone (line rental and voice calls) product later this year.
