Internet access and home phone provider TalkTalk UK has announced a new SIX MONTHS FREE BROADBAND promotion on its cheapest 24Mbps Essentials bundle, with prices returning to just £6.99 (plus £11.49 line rental) per month thereafter. We note that the free connection offer has ended and thus a one-off £29.99 cost will apply.

The new promotion, which equates to a saving of £41.94 off the normal price, is available until 30th September 2010. Reader should note that TalkTalk recently revealed how the cost of line rental would rise from £11.49 to £12.04 on 1st October (original news). Call prices are also due to change.

The Essentials package can also be improved by adding any number of optional "boosts", which cost from £2 each. Customers can add extra calls, security features or a higher monthly usage allowance, among other things.
