Anthony Vollmer, CEO of broadband ISP PlusNet UK, has departed the provider for pastures new within the wider BT Group. Voller took the reins in 2008 and has guided them through a difficult recession and the emergence of new broadband solutions.
Vollmer's replacement is understandably another BT veteran, Jamie Ford (appointed last week), this time coming from BT Retail where he was
Director of Customer Experience and Business Change. PlusNet is of course now owned by BT and has been for several years, although some of the ISPs staff might be annoyed at being passed over for another BT implant instead.
Voller himself was General Manager of Voice Propositions in BT Retail’s consumer division before being elected to the CEO posting at PlusNet in 2008.
