Broadband ISP TalkTalk UK has launched its latest
2010 Digital Heroes Awards, which reward those who do outstanding work by using digital technology to improve the lives of people in their communities.
TalkTalk Statement
The awards are given to outstanding individuals, working within UK community groups or charities, who are using the power of digital technology to implement bright ideas which bring about positive social change.
This year, another 12 regional winners from across the UK will receive cash grants of £5,000 each to fund digital projects – as well as getting free broadband to help them make the most of the internet.
From these, one overall winner will be chosen by our judging panel – which includes UK Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox, TalkTalk’s CEO Charles Dunstone and Daily Mirror editor Richard Wallace – to receive £10,000 plus free broadband!
The eventual winners will be invited to receive their awards at a special ceremony to be held at the
Houses of Parliament in December this year.
