UK ISP Vispa Internet Launches 40Mb Fibre Optic Based FTTC Broadband

Posted: 22nd Sep, 2010 By: MarkJ
vispa uk logoInternet provider Vispa has completely revamped its website and become the latest ISP to launch its own range of four 'up to' 40Mb fibre optic ( FTTC ) based HOME broadband packages, which cost from just £24.59 inc. VAT per month (25GB peak and "unlimited" overnight usage).

Adam Binks, Vispa's Commercial Director, said:

"We’re excited about FTTC and our commitment to delivering the latest technology to the market place is paramount to our success. We understand that customers’ who need the speeds available from FTTC, also need the usage allowance that complements those speeds and that’s why our FTTC services are truly unlimited during off-peak hours. You won’t find any hidden FUP’s popping up."

It should be noted that BT also bundles its Infinity service with calls from just £7.49 per month. Generally speaking the lack of flexibility given to every ISP means that all packages end up being very similar. In addition FTTC coverage, which is being rolled out by BT Openreach, is still extremely limited and will remain so until it reaches approximately 40% of the UK by 2012 and 66% by 2015.
