ISPreview UK would just like to wish all of our regular readers and casual visitors a very happy holiday season and
Merry Christmas! It's certainly been a very busy year and as usual we'll be taking a few days break over the long holiday weekend to rest, cook some Turkey and wear silly Santa hats with ridiculous flashing lights on top. Celebration in style.
As usual during the
XMas to
New Year period there's not a lot happening on the site, although we will still do our best to post any news should it crop up. The website will not be completely idle and we should be back in full swing from the middle of next week.. at least until New Year's Day
.
It's worth remembering that most businesses, including broadband ISPs, are affected by seasonal staff shortages at this time of year. This can make customer support a lot slower than usual and some providers will even close their lines for a period over the holiday weekend.
Similarly the cold weather and snow in particular can disrupt broadband performance, as can those twinkling lights that you might have hanging around the living room
Christmas Tree (not sure about LED lights but the older ones produced a lot of electrical interference that could cause ADSL broadband lines to suffer instability). Moving on..
Happy Christmas Everybody
