Mobile operator T-Mobile UK, which recently hit the headlines over some rather restrictive changes to its internet data
Fair Usage Policy (
here), has cut the price of its
pay monthly "
Unlimited browsing" Mobile Broadband package from £15.32 per month to just
£10.21 for the first three months.
The
18 month plan, which includes a
FREE USB Modem (Dongle), is of course not as unlimited as it may first seem; a
2GB (GigaByte) monthly FUP also applies. Customers that go over this quota will still be able to "
browse" websites and emails, but apparently downloading files and streaming videos are out.
We still don't fully understand how T-Mobile can say that "
downloading files" should not be allowed but web browsing is fine. After all, websites are all made up of files. We'll just leave that for another discussion.
