KC ( Karoo ), the incumbent home phone and broadband ISP for
Hull and
East Riding (Yorkshire, UK), has
criticised a recent broadband ISP customers satisfaction survey conducted by Which? (
here) that stung the provider with some harsh criticism of its services.
The study itself praised ISPs Zen Internet and O2 UK, awarding them both a
top customer satisfaction rating of 88% and 79% respectively. Meanwhile KC did considerably worse, appearing right near the bottom (above AOL and Orange) on just 36%.
Nick Thompson, KC's Director of Consumer Services, said (This is hull and East Riding):"We have lots of happy Karoo customers and our own research with a much larger sample tells us customer satisfaction is increasing, so in Karoo's case, the Which? results do not reflect what we believe to be the typical customer experience."
It's reported that Which? based its Karoo results off a sample size of just
48 customers. The operator has now requested a meeting with Which? to discuss how they can address the issues raised by their customers.
