UK ISP PlusNet has finally upgraded its older 'up to 8Mbps ( ADSL - 20CN ) business broadband packages (Options 1, 2 and 3) to support the latest 'up to' 20Mbps ( ADSL2+ - 21CN ) standard and at
no additional cost.
The provider has also added an option for
Annex M, which delivers upload speeds of up to 2.5Mbps by sacrificing a small amount of the available downstream bandwidth. This will cost an additional £10 +vat per month on top of what you already pay.
PlusNet Business Options 1 (£10 +vat per month)
10GB usage allowance
Free wireless router
Up to 20Mb download speeds (1Mbps uploads)
100MB Webspace

PlusNet Business Options 2 (£15 +vat per month)

250MB Webspace
1 FREE .co.uk domain
360 Included VoIP minutes
PlusNet Business Options 3 (£25 +vat per month)
Unlimited usage allowance
Free wireless router
Up to 20Mb download speeds (1Mbps uploads)
500MB Webspace
2 FREE .co.uk domains

PlusNet business packages can also take
Enhanced Care (prioritised customer support and fault fixing) for an additional £8.50 +vat per month.
Prioritised Service (removes service restrictions on your internet traffic) is also included with Option 3 as standard and is available on the other options at an additional £7 +vat per month.
The packages all come with contract options of both 24 or 12 months and prices vary depending upon Ofcom's market measure of local competition (urban areas with lots of competing ISPs should be the cheapest). Likewise not all of BT's telephone exchanges have been upgraded to support ADSL2+, though PlusNet aims to have 60% of its customers on the new service by the end of 2011.
