Satellite ISP Tooway Direct UK, which is powered by Eutelsat's recently launched
KA-SAT spacecraft, informs ISPreview.co.uk that new customers to its latest generation of services can now benefit from a
temporary 300% usage allowance boost on their broadband packages.
The move means that new customers who sign-up, for example, to their entry-level
Tooway 6 package (6Mbps speeds and 4GB usage allowance) will now be able to benefit from a 12GB usage allowance until 30th September 2011. That's extremely good for a Satellite solution.
It's important to remember that the hardware for Tooway Direct will set you back £199.99 (not including the cost of a professional installation) and there's also a £29.99 one-off connection fee. Some other Eutelsat based operators are expected to follow suit over the next few weeks.
UPDATE 21st July 2011We forgot to mention that this promotion has also been granted to all the numerous Tooway customers already active on KA-SAT as a welcome gift. FAP has also been disabled since June 23rd.
