Business ISP
Easynet Global Services has launched an enhanced range of
EtherStream internet access services, which are available from
1,200 unbundled telephone exchanges ( LLU ) across the UK and run over the existing copper telecoms network (bonded copper pairs) to offer "
guaranteed downloads" of up to
60Mbps.
Justin Fielder, CTO of Easynet, said:
"The UK market increasingly demands higher bandwidth connections at lower prices, and the enhancements we’ve made to our EtherStream offering enables us to meet both these requirements.
The fact that this is all delivered over copper gives a significant price advantage when compared to the move to fibre, without sacrificing quality as well as benefitting from installed landlines that are the fastest in the industry."
The service, which claims to reach 80% of businesses, offers either symmetrical, uncontended upload and download speeds of up to 16Mbps or asymmetrical, uncontended download speeds of up to 60Mbps.
EtherStream also includes a "
guaranteed service deployment" of
30 working days and "
robust"
Service Level Guarantees (SLG) among other things.
