Sadly today's news is somewhat bittersweet as PlusNet has also announced a new set of price hikes for the near future. This will see their Line Rental changing to £12.99 a month from 6th December 2011. Meanwhile UK call prices will also increase by 1.1p and the call setup fee will rise by 1.6p.

At the same time PlusNet has announced the launch of its new Line Rental Saver option, which allows customers to pay £113.88 for 12 months line rental in advance (equivalent monthly cost of £9.49). The new service will not be available until after PlusNet raises its prices next month.
