Broadband ISP Plusnet UK Struck by Email and Website Woes UPDATE

Wednesday, Feb 9th, 2022 (2:22 pm) - Score 2,592

Customers of broadband ISP Plusnet have informed us that the provider is currently suffering from a “major outage” of their website. At the same time their email platform is rejecting attempts to login, which is probably related to the first issue and means that users cannot access their messages.

Both issues appear to have started about 1-2 hours ago, although at the time of writing the provider’s Service Status page is currently only referencing the email problem and their Community Forum remains live. But if you visit Plusnet’s main website then it will promptly redirect you to a message that reads: “Unfortunately we’ve hit a problem. Sorry about this. Looks like something’s stopped working.”

According to the Email update: “Some customers may be experiencing difficulties when logging into their Plusnet email account. We’re working really hard to fix this as quickly as possible.” Hopefully the issues will be resolved soon, and we’ll keep an eye out for updates.

UPDATE 4:06pm

We’ve had a comment.

A Plusnet Spokesperson said:

“We’re aware that customers are experiencing problems accessing our website, we’re working quickly to resolve this. Plusnet landline, broadband and mobile services are not affected. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope to have things back up and running again soon.”

However, we note that both email and their website now appear to be working again.

So Plusnet screws up again. What’s new? Go with a quality ISP instead from one of the pool of smaller ISPs.

Plusnet are a sub of a bigger group. Basically a sub to blame if it cant be done whilest you reap the rewards of a pension. Its an inferior useles supplier I moved …and ended up labeled with a an extended contract a service that went from 50mb + to 4mb at best…and they sent me a message ( via text not email as its questionable) that their prices are rising…
