Cable ISP Virgin Media UK has just introduced a new set of discounts on the monthly prices of their standalone ultrafast home broadband packages and also thrown in an included 4G Mobile SIM, which comes with 5GB of data, unlimited texts and unlimited minutes for the 18 month contract term.
As usual this offer is for new customers only and they can expect to receive a Hub 3.0 wireless router (Hub 4.0 on 1Gig), an 18-month minimum contract term, unlimited usage, access to Virgin’s UK network of WiFi hotspots, internet security / parental controls and email. Each package also requires you to pay a £35 one-off setup fee.
At the time of writing we couldn’t find an expiry date for the latest promotion and thus we’re unsure whether the move to include a 4G SIM is permanent or merely part of a temporary promotion. Virgin’s website also doesn’t make it clear whether or not the free 4G SIM is included alongside their new 1Gbps tier in DOCSIS 3.1 upgraded areas (£62 per month).

Seems really good value for the price.
But at the same time, last month they were offering the same thing for the same price, with one difference. Last month it had a free (possibly unused) landline with weekend calls.
Virgin Media’s broadband only vs broadband with line rental is a mostly-useless distinction—except for rotating these special offers, it seems.
I was going to ask how existing customers can get this offer. But I’ll wait until next month for the “free landline with weekend calls” to be included.
Existing customers can’t get it.
Anything for their loyal customers
Nothing for loyal customers loyalty doesn’t pay now days left last month £29 offer to new customers old £42 wouldn’t offer anything uswith 108 Gig BB only £24 new customers
Disabled and housebound reliant on fibre internet as no BT landline possible. Virgin promised to call me back to discuss cheaper new contract. They did not! They will be increasing my old one from £26 to £44 next month!
Give 30 days’ notice and wait for someone from Retentions to call you.
I asked Virgin media to connect to the internet on my street sw179th on Tooting but they didn’t want.I say first come first served now too late we are connected to the Community fiber.
Are you sure Virgin even cover your area? A couple of searches of your postcode and random house numbers suggest they don’t provide broadband where you live. They can only sell where their cables are.
You can get much the same deal from Virgin Business – Voom Fibre 1 350Mbps (£32/month), 4G SIM with unlimited UK calls and texts (from £7/month for 3GB data), £5 discount for taking both. Total £40.80/month including VAT. £50 installation. 12 month contract but no price increase at end. Standard price – not a limited offer – so also available to existing Virgin Residential customers. https://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk
