London-centric broadband ISP CommunityFibre, which last week launched a special 800Mbps for £30 plan, have this week added another set of discounts that reduce the monthly prices by between £2.50 and £10 across their existing range of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based packages in the city.
The discounts will run until 27th November at 23:59 and, as usual, new customers can also expect to receive a free installation, a 24-month contract term, included Dual-band MESH WiFi router, symmetric speeds, unlimited usage and there’s also a pledge of “no mid-contract price rises.”
The move means that their 50Mbps package now costs just £17.50 per month for the first 24 months of service (£25 thereafter), while 150Mbps costs £20 per month (£29.50 thereafter), 800Mbps costs £30 per month (400Mbps and £40 thereafter) and their top 1Gbps tier costs £39 per month (£54 thereafter). On top of that there’s a new 3Gbps tier for those willing to spend £99 per month (£110 thereafter).
Sadly, they only offer static IPs on their (comparatively expensive) business plans.
Perhaps only few people have a need for one, but it would be nice to acknowledge that there are particularly freelancers and contractors, who may need to access their “home” services from the Internet.
I’m with Community Fibre (non-business as it’s too expensive) and requested an IPV4 address. They advised that they would get back to me but never did. They provide a reliable service but their technical support is useless.
