The highly reputable UK ISP Andrews & Arnold (AAISP) has announced that they’re going to double or more the usage allowances on their fixed home and business broadband packages at no extra cost, which, for example, will see their “Home::1” residential tier jump from 500GB (GigaBytes) to 1TB (TeraByte).
Some readers often bemoan the fact that AAISP don’t offer “unlimited” data usage on their packages, which does admittedly make them somewhat of a niche option in the market. But this is largely because they’ve always been more of a business ISP, one that strongly preferences service quality and support (their front-line staff are also IT/engineers), while at the same time ensuring that their network is never short on capacity.
The above is a big part of the reason why they’re one of the highest rated and longest running ISPs in the market, albeit also still one of the smallest. You don’t have to like how they do things to still be able to appreciate that they offer a different, yet still perfectly valid, choice from the pack. Most of AAISPs packages are offered via Openreach’s network, but they’re also about to launch packages on CityFibre’s platform too (here).
The changes are as follows :
Home::1 500G will rise to 1TB (1,000GB)
Home::1 5TB will rise to 10TB (10,000GB)
SoHo::1 800GB will rise to 2TB (2,000GB)
SoHo::1 8TB will rise to 20TB (20,000GB)
Office::1 10TB will rise to 20TB (20,000GB)
