Mobile operator Three UK, specifically its business division, has today launched £300,000 worth of “free connectivity grants” for small businesses (SME) in Manchester and Birmingham, which follows new research that found better biz connectivity could contribute over £5bn a year to the local economies.
The scheme – ‘Three Business Connectivity Grant‘ – will equip local SMEs in both regions with access to Three’s ultrafast 5G (mobile broadband) network – as well as a team of Three Business specialists. Businesses can apply to receive one of several 5G Business SIM packages, as well as 5G Business Broadband for two years.
Businesses based in Greater Birmingham and Greater Manchester, employing between 25 to 150 members of staff, are eligible for the new grants – provided they pass various ID and credit checks (apply here). The deadline for applications is on the 7th April 2023 at 5pm.
Business that apply will also be asked to demonstrate how their business has a positive impact on the local community and how the grant could help to drive business growth.
Snehal Bhudia, Three Business’ Director of Business Propositions, said:
“Businesses frequently tell us that great connectivity is one of the biggest enablers of growth, impacting all aspects of running their business – from the experience they can provide to their customers to how happy their employees are and how well they can carry out their jobs. That’s why we’re providing connectivity grants to businesses in Birmingham, so they can focus on doing what they do best and contribute to their local economies.”
End.
