The first beta release of Mozilla's open-source Firefox v3 website browser has finally been released. Typically betas are often quite buggy and those looking for a stable browser should wait for the final code. Meanwhile a full list of new features and the download itself can be found here:
Personally I wasn't that impressed with Firefox 2, which had some good security improvements but appeared to sacrifice performance. Naturally v3 aims to improve speed and security once again but the proof is in the pudding, hopefully not Christmas pudding.
