The latest research from Point-Topic has revealed that 86.8% of the UK's broadband households now spend six hours or more online each week, which compares with 83% in 2006 and 50% by the end of 2005. Roughly 5% were online for over 80 hours per week!
Broadband users also appear to be putting this time to good use by downloading music (40%) and steaming video/TV (16%). Naturally almost everybody still uses the Internet to send e-mails (90%) or shop on eBay (60%).
