One of our readers reports that
ICUK appears to have revamped its broadband packages (
forum post), albeit without informing all of its customers. It's unclear whether the changes affect existing users although new subscribers can expect to choose whatever speed they desire, with price being based on data allowance:
- 2 GigaBytes (GB) = £16 inc. VAT per month
- 5GB = £17.50
- 20GB = £25
- 50GB = £35
Speed choices range from 512Kbps up to the usual 8Mbps, with each package complemented by a 1 month contract and £30 activation fee. Migrations are free and extra data can be purchased in blocks to 1GB for £1.25.
Previously a 512Kbps package with 20GB's usage would have been priced at £20 per month and the 100GB option appears to have vanished.
