C&W Seeking Energis Takeover?

Fresh from earlier reports that France Telecom (Wanadoo) may be attempting a £4bn takeover of Cable & Wireless (Bulldog), now C&W is reported to be in talks to takeover Energis.
The news surfaces from an un-sourced report in the Independent newspaper today. The Cable & Wireless board reportedly believes a takeover of Energis would generate cost savings and synergy benefits.
These days it seems that everybody is trying to take over one another while the other is trying to takeover somebody else, which is nice =).
