Public broadband wireless (Wi-Fi) hotspot providers BTOpenzone and Broadreach Networks have finally reached a mutual roaming agreement following months of speculation:
Under the agreement, Broadreach customers will be able to use any of BT Openzones own 1,500 hotspots in the UK and BT Openzones customers can roam across Broadreachs network of 350 ReadytoSurf fixed and Wi-Fi wireless internet locations. As a result of this and existing roaming deals*, BT Openzone customers can now roam on over 7,800 hotspots in the UK.
There have been many roaming deals of late, all of which are good news for consumers as their ability to access the service paid for increases.
