Netscape, which is owned by AOL and built on Mozilla/Firefox (+some extra features), has issued the first test release of its new v8 browser. Unlike previous versions there are several noted improvements.
For example, the browser now has the ability to switch between an IE and its native Firefox based rending engine. This allows greater compatibility between websites without having to load a different browser.
Typically the initial release is just a test and you can find a full low-down on the features
HERE, along with a few negatives of the new code, such as a lack of certain content choices.
