Telewest is to bolster its online security tools for
blueyonder broadband customers. The move follows a long term agreement with Zero-Knowledge Systems (ZKS), a provider of online security services:
In a recent survey 74% of blueyonder customers said they were worried about Internet security and 41% said that they would be happy to pay for Internet security tools for increased peace of mind.
To be known as blueyonder PCguard, the suite of tools will include:
§ State of the art firewall
§ Anti-virus software
§ Anti-spyware software
§ Pop-up blocker
§ Parental control services
blueyonder will deliver category leadership in security services other ISPs offer a mix of e-mail and PC protection (please see enclosed chart), but no other ISP will deliver such a comprehensive range of security services including anti-spyware.
